RR Global, a manufacturer of electrical components, has entered the country's electric two-wheeler segment. The company will launch an electric two-wheelers under the Bauss brand. It has introduced two electric scooters, which will be launched into the market in early August. Both of these will be launched under the names BGauss A2 and BGauss B8. These will be available in many variants and in low-speed and mid-speed versions.
The BGauss B8 comes in three variants, while the BGauss A2 electric scooter will come in two variants. The B8 scooter is a high-performance version with a 1,900-watt, hub-mounted motor and 1.45kWh battery. The B8 will come with a lead-acid battery (7-8 hours of charging time) or a removable lithium-ion battery (with 3 hours of charging time).
This electric scooter will come in three variants namely the lead-acid model, lithium-ion model and LI technology model. The top speed of all three variants is 50 km / h. The top models will get features such as navigation assistance, ride matrix, remote diagnostics, live tracking and geo-fencing. The company claims that the lead-acid model of the Bauss B8 electric scooter will run up to 78 km once fully charged and the lithium-ion model will run up to 70 km.
It is a slow-speed scooter. It has a 250-watt motor. Its top speed is 25 kilometres per hour. The company claims the A2 electric scooter will cover a distance of up to 110 km once fully charged. It also has options for lead-acid batteries and 1.29 kW removable lithium-ion batteries.
Both BGauss electric scooters will have three riding modes, including low, mid and high. The A2 scooter has blue, glacier ice and white colour options. At the same time, the B8 scooter will be available in red, blue, grey and white colours.
BGauss said that its electric scooters will feature such as anti-theft alarms, anti-theft motor locking, LED instrument panels, daytime running lights, keyless start, centralized seat locks, USB charging, reverse assist and side stand sensors.
Prices for the BGauss B8 and BGauss A2 electric scooters will be announced at the time of launch next month. However, their price is expected to be between 50 thousand to 1.4 lakh rupees.
