Five people have been reported dead in a horrific road accident in Prayagraj. Four of these people are said to be from the same family. The accident happened near the national highway located at Shringverpur in Nawabganj police station area. It is said that on Sunday night, five people were returning after joining the procession riding on the same bike. The accident happened near the village ghat.
Ram Saran Pal 60, resident of Budauna village of Nawabganj, Ram Chander Pal alias Unthara 55, along with his son Lallu Pal 35, Samay Lal 35 and grandson Arjun Pal 11, have died. All the people had gone to a wedding ceremony held in Hatigwan village of Pratapgarh on Sunday night.
After attending the wedding ceremony, everyone was coming back riding on the same bike at around 12 o’clock on Sunday night. On the way, the truck hit the bike on Shringverpur highway road. All five people were seriously injured in this.
After the accident, there was an outcry when the villagers living nearby woke up. Ratgir also reached there. Immediately the villagers informed the police. The police, who reached there shortly, sent the five seriously injured people to the hospital by ambulance. On being taken to the hospital, the doctors declared everyone dead.
The police have sent the testimony of the dead bodies for post-mortem. On the other hand, the family members of the deceased reached there crying after getting information about the accident. There is mourning in the village due to the cries of the relatives in the village. Police are gathering information about the truck that hit the bike. The driver of the truck had fled after the accident.
Prior to this incident, brother-in-law and sister-in-law on a bike had died in Khuldabad in Prayagraj city. Three children were also injured in that accident. Everyone was riding the same bike.
