IND Vs NZ: The Test series between India and New Zealand starts on February 21. In the first Test match, Team India can rely on Wriddhiman Saha instead of young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. Since the series against South Africa, Team India is giving Saha a chance instead of Pant.

Five months ago, Rishabh Pant became Team India's number one wicketkeeper not only in Tests but also in ODIs and Twenty-Twenty. But now Team India is giving priority to Saha in Tests, while KL Rahul has got the responsibility of wicketkeeping in ODIs and Twenty-Twenty.

Rahane advised Pant, "It is important to accept how you are doing." It should be taken positive and try to work on whatever there is scope for improvement. It does not matter whether the player is senior or junior.

He further said, "No player likes to sit outside. But you have to see what the team needs. As a cricketer, we must keep improving, constantly working hard. "Rahane, who himself was out of the team in 2018, believes that Pant can get a chance again.

Virat Kohli, the captain of Team India, has indicated that he will take the field with three fast bowlers and a spinner before the match. Given Saha's experience, he may get priority in the team. This means that on this tour, Pant may have to wait for his turn only by sitting on the bench.
