US President Donald Trump on Saturday signed an executive order to protect American monuments and statues. Now, those who damage monuments and statues in America will now have to go to jail for a long time. However, the White House has not yet given details of this order. Under the Veterans Memorial Protection Act, a law passed in 2003, there is a provision of fine and 10-year sentence in such cases. Trump said at the press conference that the new order covered many things. On 25 May, African-American citizen George Floyd died in police custody here. Some statues were damaged during the protests in many cities.

At the same time, in Richmond, Virginia, the Columbus statue was thrown into the pond. Protesters also tried to damage the statue of former President Andreu Jackson at the White House. In some places, the statues were already removed in fear of sabotage.

Video of police officers brutality on George went viral:

On May 25, African-American citizen George Floyd was arrested by Minneapolis city police in the state of Minnesota. During this, the police officers put him handcuffs and lay down on the ground and kept his neck pressed for about 9 minutes. As the video of the incident went viral, protests against police brutality and social injustice began in many countries of the world including the US, UK, Denmark, Germany, France, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Violence erupted after George's death by white police officers posed a double challenge to the US. Protests erupted in various parts of the US after George Floyd's death and took violent forms. These protests once again brought back the racial violence that has been going on in America for a long time.
