In fact, the US drug regulator now says that no scientific evidence has been found to prove that hydroxychloroquine corona is effective in treating infected people. Whereas before this, America was at the forefront of the use of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of corona.

It was praised by US President Donald Trump himself and he requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to send a consignment of this medicine. Trump described it as a 'game changer' in Corona's treatment. India had prohibited the export of this drug, yet despite its humanitarianism, the US was allowed to export it. Not only this, the demand for hydroxychloroquine sulfate (HCQ) started coming in more than a dozen countries after America and India sent some consignments to everyone.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of America has now warned that hydroxychloroquine should not be used with Remedisvir. Remadecivir is also an anti-malarial drug manufactured by an American company. Indian companies Zydus Cadila and Ipca Laboratories are among the largest producers of hydroxychloroquine. On March 28, the FDA of the United States itself gave emergency permission for the use of hydroxychloroquine. It was stated that the anti-malarial drugs chloroquine phosphate and hydroxychloroquine sulfate (HCQ) are useful in the treatment of covid-19. Now FDA has said that there is no scientific evidence about its effectiveness and its possible side effects.

This move of the US government may cause huge loss to these producers. About half a dozen companies like India's Cipla, Ipca Laboratories, Zydus Cadila, Dr. Reddy's, Jubilant, Hetero, Syngene export this medicine to 120 countries.

Recently, the Central Government has approved the proposal to completely ban the export of hydroxychloroquine. The commercial export of this drug was banned by the central government on 25 March. However, its consignments were sent too many countries on humanitarian grounds. But it was being exported not to private companies but only to governments.
