Both the accused have been arrested in the case of firing on the vehicle of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) supremo Asaduddin Owaisi, who was preparing for the UP assembly elections. The accused Sachin Pandit and Shubham have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the police.
On Thursday, two people opened fire on AIMIM chairman Asaduddin Owaisi's vehicle at the Chhajarsi toll plaza on the Delhi-Lucknow Expressway. When this incident was brought to light, the police officers went into action right away. Owaisi personally informed the public about the incident via Twitter. The police have taken custody of both the accused Sachin and Shubham, who fired the shot. The party also urged that the Election Commission should conduct an independent investigation into the situation.
SP Hapur Deepak Bhuker said that two people, arrested on Thursday for firing on the car of AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Meanwhile, the Government of India reviewed the security of AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi and has been provided Z category security of CRPF with immediate effect.
AIMIM announces peaceful demonstration across the country
