IFFI: 52nd International Film Festival to be Organized from Today, OTT Platforms will also be included for the First Time

OTT platforms are going to participate for the first time, for which big OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Zee5, Voot and Sony Liv have been invited.

The 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is starting from Saturday i.e. 20 November in Goa and will run till 28 November. Around 624 films from 95 countries have got an entry for this festival. This is the first international event to be held in Goa since the Corona pandemic. The International Film Festival is being jointly organized by the Government of Goa and the Directorate of Film Festivals working under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The 52nd edition of IFFI will be held in a hybrid format. The best films from India and around the world are screened every year during the film festival. OTT platforms are going to participate for the first time in the festival, for which big OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Zee5, Voot and Sony Liv have been invited.

Awards to famous personalities…

Hema Malini and lyricist Prasoon Joshi will be honoured with the Indian Film Personality of the Year award at the event. Along with this, Hollywood film directors Istvan Szabo and Martin Scorsese will also be honoured with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award.
