The Narendra Modi government gave a big gift (7th Pay Commission DA Hike) to the central employees just after the announcement of Union Budget 2022. The Central Government has also announced an increase in the much-awaited Dearness Allowance (DA Hike). Dearness allowance of central employees has been increased by 14 percent. Due to this, there is going to be a huge increase in the salary. This decision of the Center is much more than the expectation of the employees of the Central Government.

Employees of CPSEs will get benefits

Let us tell you that the central employees expected that there would be a 3 percent increase in DA (Dearness allowance - DA), but the government of Narendra Modi has increased the Dearness Dllowance (DA) of its employees by about 5 times more than expected. Central employees are very happy with this announcement of the government. Only the employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) will get the benefit of the increase in DA.

No consideration given to payment of DA arrears

The government has made a bumper increase in dearness allowance but has also given a big update on DA arrears. The Central Government has made it clear that no consideration has been given to the payment of DA arrears for 18 months. There is a demand of the central government employees that from January 2020 to June 2021, their DA, which was stopped due to Corona, should be paid for their arrears. But, in a way, the government has refused to do so.

The Central Government had revised the DA of employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises in January. Earlier, employees were getting DA at the rate of 170.5 percent, which has now been increased to 184.1 percent. In media reports, under-secretary Samuel Haque has been quoted as saying that the board level and below board level officers of CPSEs will get the benefit of an increase in DA. Now, these people will get DA at the rate of 184.1 percent.
