To overcome this crisis, the central government has started a campaign called Poor Welfare Employment Scheme.
The story of the idea of this scheme is very interesting. Actually, the idea of this scheme has come due to labourers living in a school in Unnao located in Uttar Pradesh.
Referring to an incident of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, he said, "The workers of South India were kept in a quarantine centre of Unnao, these workers were skilled in dyeing paint. These labourers changed the colour of the school itself by painting the Quarantine Center. "PM Modi further said that when I saw this news in the media, I decided to start a poor welfare employment campaign.
With this, PM Modi said that "you think how much talent has come back to your village these days. When the labour and their skills that give speed and progress to every city of the country will be put in the rural areas, then this will also speed up the development of the state
PM Modi said that this campaign will be conducted vigorously in 116 districts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Under the Poor Welfare Employment Scheme, for the development of your villages, 50 thousand crore rupees have to be spent to give you employment. With this amount, about 25 work areas were identified for employment in villages and for development works.
He said that in villages, towns and small towns, different products were made from local produce, packing items were made, and industries would be formed for this. This is going to be of great benefit to farmers.
PM Modi said that we have abolished the rules discriminating against farmers. Now the farmer can sell his crop outside his state and can sell it in any market. Now, traders who give good prices for their products can directly connect with companies, they can sell their crops directly. Self-reliant farmers are equally essential for a self-reliant India. But for so many years, agriculture and farmers in our country were unnecessarily tied to rules and laws. All you farmer companions must have felt this powerlessness for so many years.
