Amul Milk Costlier By 2 Rupees: Now You Will Have To Pay 63 Rupees For 1 Liter Of Milk

Amul has increased the price of milk by Rs 2 per liter. Now instead of Rs 61, Rs 63 will have to be paid for a packet of one-liter full cream Amul milk (Amul Gold). Similarly, the cost of half a liter of milk has now gone up to Rs 32 instead of 30. Apart from this, the price of buffalo milk has also been increased by Rs 2 per liter. Earlier in August also, Amul had increased by Rs 2 per liter.

Prices not increased in Gujarat

However, there has been no increase in the price of Amul milk in Gujarat. Their milk will continue to be available at the same old price. Let us tell you that elections are to be held in Gujarat this year.

Prices were increased in August also

Amul and Mother Dairy had increased milk prices by Rs 2 per liter in August. After which the price of 500 ml Amul Gold has gone up to Rs 31 and that of Amul Shakti to Rs 28. Mother Dairy's price of full cream milk also increased from Rs 59 per liter to Rs 61 per liter. Earlier in March, the prices were increased.

Increase in prices due to costlier animal feed

In August, when Amul attributed the hike in prices to the increase in operating costs and milk production costs. The company said that the price of animal feed has increased by about 20% compared to last year. Because of the increase in input cost and animal feed, the milk unions affiliated with Amul Federation have also increased the milk purchase price of farmers by 8-9% as compared to last year.

Mother Dairy is one of the leading milk suppliers in the Delhi-NCR market and sells more than 3 million liters of milk per day through poly packs and vending machines. At the same time, Amul is also the leading brand in the country, which is owned by lakhs of farmers. The journey that started 75 years ago with 247 liters of milk from two villages in Gujarat has reached 260 lakh liters today.
