The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has taken a new step to overcome the shortage of the car. The company has asked car parts suppliers to be ready for the production of 1.60-1.80 lakh cars and SUVs in October. At the same time, Toyota is going to increase the prices of its models from October 1. Also, Hero has released the updated price list of Splendor.
If the company succeeds in meeting this target, the production of cars will increase by 60-80% in October as compared to September. Which will be about 5% less than a year ago. It is said that out of every two passenger vehicles sold in India, 1 vehicle belongs to the company. Due to the lack of chips, the company has limited the production of its car to about 1 lakh units.
Toyota models are going to be expensive from October 1, 2021. The company has not mentioned how much or the percentage increase in the prices of the car. The price will be different for different models and variants of the company. The company has attributed the increase in prices to the increase in input cost.
Hero MotoCorp has increased the minimum ex-showroom price of all two-wheeler models by Rs 1000 and the maximum by Rs 3000. The recent price revision by Hero MotoCorp has made its entire portfolio including the Splendor Commuter costlier. Apart from the price hike, no other changes have been made to the motorcycle. The latest prices have already come into effect from September 20.
