Allocation of 2.5 lakh metric tons of wheat

During this, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that for this, allocation of 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been made to various government agencies. According to the Consumer Affairs Department, at present the average price of flour in the country is Rs 35 per kg.

Decision taken due to rising price of wheat

The retail price of non-branded flour in the market is Rs 30-40 per kg, while branded flour is being sold at Rs 40-50 per kg. In view of the rise in the price of flour during the festive season due to the continuously increasing price of wheat, the government has decided to sell flour at a cheaper price.
