Hero MotoCorp has today launched its most awaited Karizma XMR 210. The company claims that the bike gives a mileage of 32.8 kmpl.
The company has launched the bike at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 1.73 lakh. After limited booking, the bike price will be increased by Rs 10 to 15 thousand. The premium sports bike was introduced by Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. In India, this bike will compete with Yamaha R15, Bajaj Pulsar 200 and Apache RTR.
The company has started booking the Karizma XMR210 through its online website and official dealership. Buyers can book the bike by paying a token money of Rs.3000. Its delivery will be started in this festive season.
The new Karizma XMR gets an illumination LED projector headlamp with twin LED DRLs, XMR badging on the fairing, alloy wheels and an adjustable windshield. The sports bike gets a split-seat setup, an LED tail lamp and light weight clip-on handlebar.
The company has given a 210cc single-cylinder, 4 valve liquid-cooled engine in the Karizma XMR 210, which generates 25.5bhp power and 22Nm peak torque. For transmission, the engine is tuned with a 6-speed manual gearbox and slip and assist clutch.
Hero MotoCorp claims that the top speed of the new Hero Karizma XMR is 143 kmph. It has been claimed that this sports bike gives a mileage of 32.8 kmpl.
The updated bike looks much sportier and premium than its older generation. At the launch event, Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta said that the Karizma XMR is the 'Hrithik Roshan of motorcycles'. The bike is available in three colours, which include Iconic Yellow, Turbo Red and Matte Phantom Black.
The new Hero Karizma XMR is equipped with a full LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation. The digital instrument cluster shows information like speedometer, odometer, trip meter, gear position indicator and tachometer.
For comfort riding, the bike gets telescopic forks at the front and 6-step adjustable mono shock suspension at the rear. For braking, the bike gets 300 mm front and 230 mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.
