Artificial Intelligence can become the biggest tool of development in the 21st century and can also play the biggest role in destroying this century. The challenge of deepfake is in front of the whole world today. Apart from this, there is also a big danger of Al tools coming into the hands of terrorists. We have to work together to create a global framework for the ethical use of AI.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this on Tuesday at the Global Partnership Event on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI Summit-2023). This event will run till December 14 at Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. PM Modi has invited the people of the country for the GPAI Summit-2023 event. About 28 countries of the world have participated in the AI Summit.

PM Modi said 5 big things:

AI is not just a new technology. This has become a world wide movement. Therefore it is necessary for all of us to work together. Al is certainly transformative, but it is up to us to make it as transparent as possible.

We have to convince the world that AI is for their benefit, for their welfare. We also have to assure different countries of the world that no one will be left behind in the development journey of this technology.

Today India is the most prominent player in AI talent and new ideas related to AI. Before coming here, I got a chance to go to AI Expo. How AI can change life, we can see in this expo. I was happy to see the ideas of the youth.

Recently we launched AI chatbot in agriculture. This will help farmers to know their application status, payment details and updates related to government schemes. We are working towards transforming sectors with the help of AI.

We are going to launch AI mission in India. The mission aims to establish adequate capacity of AI compute power in India. This will provide better facilities to India's startups and innovators. Under this mission, AI applications will be promoted in sectors like agriculture, healthcare and education. We are taking AI skills to tier-2 and tier-3 cities through our Industrial Training Institute.

More than 150 startups showcased their products

About 28 countries of the world have participated in the AI Summit. In this, more than 150 speakers will present their views on AI. More than 150 AI startups participated in the event and showcased their AI products. Apart from this, there will be more than 30 technology sessions.
