Kinetic Green has launched e-Luna today i.e. on 7th February. The company is selling this electric moped through online e-commerce platforms Amazon and Flipkart. The company started its booking from January 26, 2024. It can be booked with a token amount of Rs 500. Its starting price is Rs 69,990 (ex-showroom).
At the launching event of e-Luna, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said, 'I have also used Luna during my college days. At that time Luna used to run on petrol, the price of petrol was Rs 40 per litre, so after calculating the cost, on average it would cost 30 to 40 paise.
Now this e-Luna, its cost is 10 paise per kilometer. That means it runs at a cost of Rs 10 per 100 kilometres. This is a boon for the poor, service class and people with a salary of Rs 20 to 25 thousand. It will get very good response in the two wheeler market.
E-Luna is available in five colors – Mulberry Red, Ocean Blue, Pearl Yellow, Sparkling Green and Night Star Black. The company has given a 2 kWh lithium ion battery pack in it. Its battery is swappable. It has a 2 Watt motor. The company claims that its range will be up to 110 km on a single charge. At the same time, its top speed is 50 kilometers per hour. The company is giving 5 years warranty on this electric moped.
The company is also providing a portable charger with this vehicle. This electric moped can be fully charged in 4 hours. It also has a USB charging port. For safety, it has combi drum brakes at both ends. The total weight of this electric moped is 96 kg.
The e-Luna has a length of 1.985 m, width of 0.735 m, height of 1.036 m and wheelbase of 1335 mm. Its seat height is 760 mm. At the same time, its ground clearance is 170 mm.
