Now WhatsApp Calling Becomes More Secure, Meta Rolls Out 'Protect IP Address in Call', Location Will Not Be Accessible

Shivam Verma

Meta's instant messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out the 'Protect IP Address in Call' feature to make calling more secure. Along with end to end encryption, this will be an extra layer of protection.

After enabling this feature, your IP address will not be visible to anyone. Apart from this, threats like unauthorized access and espionage of users' location will be blocked. That means no one will be able to track your location.

Actually, currently the location of a call made can be traced through IP address. But after activating this feature, now no one will be able to access the caller's location during calling.

This is how it works?

The 'Protect IP Address in Call' feature works to protect users' IP address by redirecting calls through WhatsApp servers. IP address is a unique address of every device connected to the Internet.

This address is prepared by writing some numbers in a special format. With the help of this address we are able to access anything on the internet.

Three New Updates Will Soon Be Available In WhatsApp, Blue Checkmark, Time limit Option, And One More Thing

Soon users will see green checkmark in blue color in WhatsApp channel. According to WABetaInfo, the company is testing this feature in beta version 2.23.10.6 for Android users.

At the same time, along with improved interface, new icons and colors will also be seen in the app. Apart from this, the company is bringing an update for the About Us app. Let us know about all three features one by one.
