A separate terminal has been started at IGI Airport for billionaires travelling on their aircraft, helicopters or chartered planes. It is expected that the terminal will start by January-February next year. This new terminal for private jets is being built between the Centaur Hotel and New Udaan Bhavan. After this, these people will not have to go to T-3 or T-1 again.

An airport official said that security at the private jet terminal would also be of CISF. This facility will be available to passengers traveling on both domestic and international private jets and chartered planes and helicopters. Custom and immigration officers will also sit in this new terminal. So that people going abroad do not have to go to T-3 to get their clearance. Efforts are being made to provide all facilities under one roof in this new terminal being built for private jet.

It is said that currently the private jet traffic from IGI is at least 40 flights. It is increasing every year. This new terminal is being built in view of the increasing traffic in this sector. However, it is not clear from Dial that whether Dial will take the additional expenses on CISF, Custom and Immigration officers as airport development fees (ADF) from other passengers or from these private jets. More money will be charged as a service charge.

Airport sources say that parking is also being built for those using this terminal. After its launch, such people will not have to get stuck in T3 traffic. Nor do they have to be two-four from the crowd of immigration and custom. However, such passengers are still looked after separately but sometimes due to congestion there is a problem.
