Over 16 Lakh Youths got Employement under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yogana: RK Singh

On Friday, Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship RK Singh said in the Rajya Sabha that 16.61 lakh people were trained and have been successfully provided employment under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana'. He told that between 2016-20, about 73.47 lakh people have been provided employment.

He informed that 371 courses have been provided to the youth under this training program. 137 traders were given long-term training from 15,697 ITI industrial training centers. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey told the Lok Sabha that at least one and a half lakh sub-health and primary health centers across the country will now be converted into health and welfare centers under the 'Ayushman Bharat scheme.'

The Union Minister said in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha that the work to improve the quality of these health centers will be completed by December 2022. There are currently 29,414 centers operating under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. These health centers are divided into various categories. Such as sub-health center, primary health center, urban primary health center. In all these, there are no health centers of any of these categories in Delhi, Lakshadweep, and Ladakh.
