Wagh Bakri Tea Group's Owner Parag Desai Passes Away Due to Brain Hemorrhage After Escaping Stray Dogs

According to a report in the Ahmedabad Mirror, the CEO of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group, Parag Desai, tragically lost his life on Sunday following an attack by stray dogs outside his residence. He was 49 years old.

Reportedly, on October 15th, he sustained serious injuries while attempting to rescue street dogs that had attacked him.

He was rushed to Shelby Hospital the next day for surgical procedures, and unfortunately, he succumbed to a brain haemorrhage during treatment on Sunday.

Gujarat Congress Chief Expresses Grief

Gujarat Congress President and Rajya Sabha member Shaktisinh Gohil expressed his condolences on Parag Desai's demise through a social media post, saying, "Very sad news. The Director and owner of Wagh Bakri Tea, Parag Desai, has passed away. After falling, he suffered a brain haemorrhage. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to the entire Wagh Bakri family across India."

Parag Desai Was the Son of Ramesh Desai

Parag Desai was the son of Ramesh Desai, who is the Managing Director of Wagh Bakri Tea Group. His family includes his wife Vidisha and daughter Parisha.

With over 30 years of extensive professional experience, Parag Desai led the group's international business, sales, and distribution, actively participating in leading industry forums such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and was a respected voice in the business world.
