In its letter, the Center said that there may be a sudden increase in the number of corona patients in the hospitals of the states. In such a situation, the Center has advised the state to keep a watch on it. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has said in a letter to the states that the situation can change anytime, so keep an eye on the patients living in home isolation.

States should keep its full preparations

Only 5 to 10 percent of the infected have been admitted to hospital so far

In its letter, the Center has said that the number of corona infected has increased tremendously in the country, but so far only 5 to 10 percent of the infected have been admitted to the hospital. The Union Health Secretary said that in the second wave of the corona, 20 to 23 percent of the active cases had to be hospitalized. In such a situation, the situation can change at any time. So the state should keep its full preparations.

In its letter, the Center has asked the states to monitor the total number of active cases, the total number of patients in home isolation, the number of hospitalized cases as well as oxygenated beds, ICU beds and ventilator support. So that in case of any emergency, patients can be treated in the hospital.

At the same time, the total number of active cases has gone up to 3,57,07,727.
