Over 5 Crore Teens given First Dose of Covid Vaccine: Mandaviya

Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has informed on Tuesday that more than 5 crore youth in the age group of 15 to 18 in India have been given the first dose of the Covid vaccine so far.

Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has informed on Tuesday that more than 5 crore youth in the age group of 15 to 18 in India have been given the first dose of corona vaccine so far.

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya also told in the Rajya Sabha that about 67 percent vaccination has been done so far in the age group of 15 to 18 years. The vaccination campaign is being implemented rapidly. He said that the decision to vaccinate those below 15 years of age would be taken on an expert basis.

Along with this, the Union Health Minister told in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha that so far 67 doctors, 19 nurses have died due to Covid-19 in Maharashtra. In Gujarat, 20 doctors, 20 nurses, 6 ambulance drivers and 128 paramedics have lost their lives. Let us inform you that according to the data released by the Ministry of Health in the country on Tuesday, 67 thousand 597 new cases of corona have been reported in 24 hours. In the same period, 1188 people died in the country due to corona. Also, 1 lakh 80 thousand 456 people have been cured of the corona.

Infection rate in the country is now 5.02 percent

According to the data of the Ministry of Health, there are a total of 9 lakh 94 thousand 891 active cases of corona in the country at present. So far 5 lakh 2 thousand 874 people have died due to corona in the country. The infection rate is currently 5.02 percent. At the same time, the weekly rate of Covid infection was recorded at 8.30 percent. At the same time, a total of 4,08,40,658 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from Covid-19 is 1.19 percent.
