39 New Cases of Coronavirus reported in South Korea, 269 Patients Died so far

Schools have been opened in South Korea and in such cases, increasing cases of infected have become a matter of further concern for the authorities

On Saturday, 39 new cases of corona virus infected were reported in South Korea. Most of these cases have been reported in a densely populated area where many warehouse workers were found infected. According to the South Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), there have been 11,441 infected people reported in the country so far, of which 269 people have died.

At least 12 of those found infected on Saturday have come from abroad, KCDC director Jeong Iyun Kyong said on Friday that at least 102 cases of infected are related to personnel at a large warehouse operated by e-commerce company Coupang.

The company has come under criticism for not taking precautionary measures to prevent the spread of infection and failing to ensure distance between personnel. It should be noted that viruses have been found on the company's helmets, laptops, keyboards and other devices that all workers use in common.

In addition, according to health workers, 266 cases of infected are linked to Seoul's nightclubs and other recreational complexes, where heavy crowds were seen in May after social distance guidelines were relaxed.
