Amid Lock Down 50% of Employees in Goa will Return to Work From Today

According to an order issued on 12 April by the General Administration Department Secretariat, the heads of all departments have been asked to ensure that employees are called to the office on an optional basis.

The Goa government has decided to start functioning in all government offices from Monday. However, only 50 percent of their employees will work from office during this period. All these employees have to come to office on Alternate Days, the rest of the employees will continue to work from home.

According to an order issued on 12 April by the General Administration Department Secretariat, the heads of all departments have been asked to ensure that employees are called to the office on an optional basis, while the rest will work from home, however, in special circumstances employees looking after essential items can be called to the office every day.

According to the instructions, employees will work in three shifts. During this time, all necessary precautions will be taken for sanitizer, handwash and social distancing in the office. This order will remain in force till 30 April, whereas on Sunday, seven new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Goa.

The number of corona patients in the country has reached beyond 9 thousand. According to Health Department data, so far 9152 people are sick from Corona across the country. At the same time, 308 people have lost their lives due to this deadly disease.
