Cowin portal started on Saturday to vaccinate children

Till now the process of vaccination was going on for people above 18, now the process of applying vaccination for children is also being started. Meanwhile, the process of registration on the Cowin portal started on Saturday to vaccinate children. Because of the threat of the new variant Omicron of the coronavirus, the central government has also issued guidelines for the dosage of the vaccine for children from 3 January i.e. Monday.

The registration process for the vaccination of children has started on Cowin and the registries are going on continuously. Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted that "Children are safe, the future of the country is secure! On the occasion of New Year, registration on the COWIN portal is being started for immunization of children in the age group of 15 to 18 years. '

Number of registration done till now

The registration of vaccination is going on continuously for the vaccination of children. According to Covin data, 3,15,416 children aged 15-18 years have registered till 11.30 pm on Saturday, who will start getting vaccinated from tomorrow i.e. Monday.

Which vaccine will the children get?

Let us tell you that till now two vaccines i.e. covaccine and covashield were being seen in India, but now covaccine will be applied for children. The Union Health Secretary has informed all the States and Union Territories that children in the age group of 15-18 will be given only the dosage of 'Covaxin' at present manufactured by Bharat Biotech Company.

How many children from 15-18 onwards will get a vaccine?

According to official estimates of the central government, an estimated 10 crore children in the 15-18 age group are eligible for vaccination.

Only children born in 2007 or earlier will get the vaccine

Information about the age has been given by the government that only children born in 2007 or earlier will be given the corona vaccine at present. This vaccine will not be given to children under 15 years of age.

When will the second dose be taken?

Paheli Vaccine Lagna is starting from tomorrow and the second dose of vaccination will be taken at an interval of 28 days. Bharat Biotech's Covaxin will be administered to children and there will be a gap of only 28 days between two doses. However, the second dose of Covaxin is also being given to adults only after 28 days.

How to do registration for vaccination?

To book a vaccine slot for 15-18-year-olds, one has to first register on the Co-WIN app. You have to log in with your mobile number. A photo certificate of the child will also be required to book the vaccine. After this, you will be able to book slots. If young children do not have documents like Voter ID, then an Aadhar card will be used. Apart from this, vaccine slots can also be booked with a school ID card. Such children who do not have mobile can register with the mobile number of the parents. According to the rules, 4 people can be registered from one mobile. All vaccinated children will have to register themselves on the Co-WIN portal from January 1, 2022. Apart from this, from January 3, 2022, you can also register directly by visiting the vaccination center.

According to the center, after applying the vaccine, children will have to wait for half an hour so that if any reaction is happening after applying, then only it can be cured and the child remains under complete investigation. Children will be kept under observation for half an hour to see the effect of vaccination.
