In the last 24 hours, 10229 cases of corona infection have been reported in the country, while 11,926 people have returned home after recovering and 125 people have died. The total number of infected in the country has gone up to 3,44,47,536, out of which the number of active cases has been reduced to 1,34,096.
The most important thing is that the number of active cases in the country is the lowest in 523 days. The total recovery in the country so far is 3,38,49,785. While the number of people who lost their lives due to corona infection has reached 4,63,655.
The pace of vaccination is also accelerating in the country. So far 1,12,34,30,478 people have been vaccinated. The number of active cases is now less than 1 per cent of the total cases. This is the lowest since March 2020. The recovery rate is 98.26% which is higher after March 2020.
The cases of corona infection have come down in many states of the country. In the last 24 hours, the number of patients under treatment for Covid-19 has decreased by 1,822. The daily infection rate is 1.12 per cent. It is below two per cent for the last 42 days. The weekly infection rate was also recorded at 0.99 per cent. Which is less than two per cent for the last 52 days. The number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 3,38,49,785. While the death rate is 1.35 per cent. A total of 112.34 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign in the country.
Of the 125 patients who died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, 65 are from Kerala and 18 from Maharashtra. According to the data of the ministry, a total of 4,63,655 people have died due to infection in the country so far, including 1,40,583 in Maharashtra, 38,145 in Karnataka, 36,284 in Tamil Nadu, 35,750 in Kerala, 25,094 in Delhi, 22,909 in Uttar Pradesh and There are 19,314 people from West Bengal.
The Health Ministry said that out of those who have died due to coronavirus infection so far, more than 70 per cent of the patients also had other diseases. The ministry said on its website that its data is being matched with the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
