Corona cases have been decreasing continuously for the last 4 months across the country. In Rajasthan too, the infection rate of corona remains less than one percent. Due to the decreasing number of infected cases, the fear among the people has also reduced a lot. The effect of this is that the speed of vaccination has also been reduced by 26 percent. In the state, where an average of 3.86 lakh doses was being administered every day in August-September, it has come down to an average of 2.85 lakh in the first 11 days of October

The biggest reason behind this is to reduce the fear of corona

According to Dr. Raghuraj Singh, Project Director (Vaccination), Medical and Health Department, vaccination has slowed down in October. The biggest reason behind this is to reduce the fear of corona among people. Apart from this, the festival season and fasting of Navratra is also a big reason. The major reason behind the lack of vaccination in rural areas is believed to be the harvesting of Kharif crops. If we look at the status of corona cases in Rajasthan in the past, cases are coming very less in October. Out of the 11 days of October, 3 days have been such, when only one corona patient was found in the entire state.

The trend did not show even in the mega camp

The Rajasthan government had organized a special mega camp for three days from 8 to 10 October. During this, the number of vaccination centers was also increased to two times, but the campaign failed miserably. Within these three days, the Medical and Health Department had set a target of administering doses to more than 30 lakh persons, but more than 9 lakh 7 thousand doses could not be administered.

Vaccination of only 31.38 lakh people in 11 days

In Rajasthan, only 31.38 lakh people have been vaccinated within 11 days in the month of October. So far this month in Rajasthan, a total of 50 lakh 12 thousand doses have been received from the Central Government. This is the reason that for the first time after April, this has happened in Rajasthan when the department has a surplus dose of about 20 lakh vaccines.

So far 5.92 crore doses have been taken

Since the vaccination has started in Rajasthan, 4 crores 15 lakh 68,252 people have received the vaccine so far. Out of these, there are 1 crore 76 lakh 48,303 people who have received both doses of the vaccine. There are a total of 5 crores 14 lakh 95,402 people in the state, who are to be vaccinated. If we look at the district-wise situation, Sikar district comes at the top in terms of vaccination, where 91 percent of the people of the target group have received at least one dose of the vaccine. A total of 20 lakh 6,679 people are to be vaccinated here.
