In such a situation, now the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued instructions to all the states and union territories to impose lockdown in case of congestion.

Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has issued a letter to the state governments asking them to impose restrictions. It has been said in the letter that in the places where corona rules are not being followed. Lockdown should be imposed again. The letter also mentions the rush of tourists to the mountains. On June 19, the Ministry of Home Affairs has allowed the states and union territories to start activities gradually with the decline in active cases. However, the relaxation of restrictions was said to be given with caution.

The letter also mentions that the increase in the R factor (reproduction number) in some states is a cause for concern. Therefore, it is important that all crowded places like shops, malls, markets, market complexes, weekly markets, restaurants, vegetable markets, bus stations, railway platforms, parks, gyms, sports complexes, etc. have to follow the corona rules.
