Indian Medical Association Challenged Baba Ramdev for Open Debate

IMA has said that Ramdev should name the allopathic hospitals where Patanjali medicines were given in the name of treatment of corona.

Haridwar: The Uttarakhand branch of the Indian Medical Association has now challenged open debate after sending a defamation notice of Rs 1000 crore to Baba Ramdev. The IMA has asked Baba Ramdev to name the allopathic hospitals where Patanjali medicines were given in the name of treatment for corona.

In fact, Baba Ramdev claimed in a TV debate that allopathic hospitals were also using Patanjali's medicines for corona treatment. Now the IMA has challenged this saying that Baba Ramdev should prove this claim on an open platform and debate the entire controversy with the IMA. Earlier, Baba Ramdev had said that he wanted answers to 25 questions from the IMA. Ramdev also wrote an open letter to IMA for this.

Responding to a letter sent by Baba Ramdev, the IMA has said that it is also ready to answer these 25 questions with its panel. The IMA has asked Baba Ramdev to come before him on a common platform for an open debate.

A defamation notice of 1000 crores was sent to Ramdev

Earlier on 26 May, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Uttarakhand sent a defamation notice of Rs 1000 crore to Ramdev. In the notice, Ramdev has been asked to refute the video and written apology of his statement in the next 15 days.

Demand for an apology within 15 days

The notice states that if Ramdev does not ask for a rebuttal video and written apology within 15 days, then he will be asked for Rs 1000 crore. Apart from this, Ramdev has been asked to remove the misleading advertisement of the Coronil kit within 72 hours from all places where it is claimed that Coronil is effective against the side effects of the Covid vaccine.
