Indian Shooters Took Part in Olympic Selection Trails amid Coronavirus Threat

Many games have been affected due to coronavirus worldwide. On the other hand, India's top shooters took part in the Olympic Team Selection trials here on Monday amid the Coronavirus threat. Indian shooters Manu Bhaker, Chinki Yadav, Apoorvi Chandela, Mehuli Ghosh, and Elavenil Valarivan competed in the pistol and rifle events at the Karni Singh Shooting Range. India withdrew from the Nicosia Shotgun World Cup last month due to the coronavirus and subsequently, the ISSF World Cup, to be held in Delhi from March 15 to 26, was postponed to May.

A National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) release said, "After India's withdrawal from the Nicosia World Cup earlier this month and the postponement of the New Delhi World Cup, The final trial was organized for the shooters selected in the Indian team for these two World Cup so that they could record their final score before the Olympic team was declared. Monday was the first day of the trial. Shotgun shooters will have two trials, while rifle and pistol shooters will have one trail each.
