Many cricket series have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak across the world. It has now been decided to postpone the two-match Test series to be played between Bangladesh and New Zealand.
The New Zealand cricket team was scheduled to visit Bangladesh in August and September but this has been postponed due to the current situation. The New Zealand team has not played any matches since the Test series played with India in February – March. Due to Coronavirus, all sporting events have been postponed in the last three months.
In Bangladesh, the coronavirus epidemic continues wreaking havoc. Former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Murtaza has also tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago. On the other hand, former cricketer Nafees Iqbal, brother of ODI captain Tamim Iqbal has also been found infected with Coronavirus. Bowler Nazmul Islam has also been found to be Corona positive.
According to the news on Monday, three Pakistani players from the team visiting England have been found to be Corona positive. Spinner Shadab Khan, the under-19 star who got a place in the team for the first time, Hyder Ali has also been found to be corona infected. Fast bowler Haris Rauf has also tested positive for Corona.
The West Indies team has become the first team to tour overseas after the outbreak of the Corona epidemic. After 14 days of quarantine in England, the team players are now ready to play a practice match. Next month, the three-match Test series between the two countries will begin.
