In the war against Corona virus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again appealed to the countrymen to show solidarity. The Prime Minister has appealed to the people to light a Diya at nine o'clock on Sunday night. Now political response has started coming on this appeal of PM. Former Union Minister P. Chidambaram said that we will light a diya, but also listen to the economists in response.

The former Union Minister wrote in his tweet, "We will listen to you and light a Diya on April 5. But in return you should also listen to the economists. We hoped that you would announce a package for the poor today, whom Nirmala Sitharaman had forgotten in her speech.''

P. Chidambaram wrote that every person working, whether from the business sector or a daily wage laborer needs help and economic power needs to be restarted. It is important to show signs, but it is also important to take strict decisions.

Apart from P. Chidambaram, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said that today he heard the headman. Nothing was said about the people's suffering, financial injury. Nothing was said about the plan for the future and what will happen after the lockdown. Only one feel-good moment was prepared.

Congress leader Kapil Sibal also raised questions on this and wrote in his tweet, 'The government's actions on these issues were not heard, preventing viruses – testing kits – delivering food to the poor – providing financial help to the laborers'. Light a diya for any purpose, not for superstition.

Significantly, the relief package of one lakh 70 thousand crore was announced by the Government of India in the midst of Corona crisis. In which 80 crore citizens were asked to provide wheat-rice, financial assistance to more than 20 crore women Jan Dhan bank account holders.
