Uttar Pradesh Govt. Allows Hospitals to Treat Non-Covid Patients

Instructions have been given to start all types of OPD in government and private hospitals of Uttar Pradesh. For this, Principal Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad has issued necessary guidelines. In his guidelines issued, he told that all government primary health centers, community health centers and other hospitals will have infrared thermometer to screen the patient. Only a partisan with the patient will be allowed to enter the hospital, whereas, the patient and partisan must wear a mask.

Such patients, who have cold, fever and difficulty in breathing, will be seated in a separate room and will not be allowed to go to the registration counter. Treatment and examination facilities will be provided in the room itself. The employee making the form at the registration counter will be required to wear masks and gloves. In health centers where more patients come to OPD, more than one registration counter will be created.

At the same time, all types of OPD services will be started in private hospitals with one or two doctors. Doctors will provide timings to the patients coming to OPD and at the same time, only four to five patients will come to the OPD in an hour. Doctors and paramedical staff will have to undergo training for medical infection prevention protocol. A separate team will be set up for screening of patients and timber in private hospitals.

Significantly, OPD services in hospitals were discontinued due to corona infection. In the first phase, instructions were given to start necessary OPD services from May 24 and now all types of OPD services will be started in the second phase.
