Diamond jewellery worth Rs 2 crore has been stolen from the room of Hotel Clark Amer in Jaipur. However, the incident happened on Thursday night. On getting information about this on Friday, the police reached the spot and checked the CCTV. It also came to light that the accused had been living with the family for two days. Taking advantage of this, he escaped by stealing diamond jewellery and 95 thousand rupees.

Background of the Family

According to the information, the daughter of Raipur's diamond trader Rajiv Bothra was to be married on Friday. There was Sangeet Ceremony on Thursday. For this, about 45 rooms were booked at Clark Amer Hotel located on JLN Marg. However, diamond jewellery and money were kept in one of these rooms. Seeing the opportunity, the accused entered the room and escaped after taking the diamond jewellery and money kept there.

Former DCP Prahlad Krishnaian and Jawahar Circle SHO Radharaman Gupta also arrived at the scene after hearing about the incident. Preliminary investigation by the police revealed that the miscreant involved in the incident had come to the hotel as a relative of the businessman.

The police are interrogating the hotel staff in the matter. Simultaneously, CCTV footage is being scanned. The entire work of marriage was given to the event company. For this, the employees of the company are also being questioned.
