When they asked the woman, she did not give any correct answer. After this, the family members of the girl informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the police of Shimlapuri police station reached the spot and the woman was strictly interrogated.

Everyone was stunned to hear that the woman told that she had come to bury the girl in the Salem Tabri area. On the complaint of constable Harpreet Singh, the police have arrested the accused Neelam by registering a case under kidnapping and murder along with other sections.

Harpreet Singh works as a constable in Punjab Police and is currently posted in Third IRB. He has a son of five years and a daughter Dilroj is two and a half years old. Dil was playing outside her house on Sunday afternoon that suddenly disappeared. The family members searched many places for the girl but could not find her, so they checked the CCTV cameras. It then came in notice that Dil has been taken by her neighbour Neelam. When they went and asked Neelam, she did not give the right answer, on which the family got suspicious.

The girl was immediately taken out to DMC Hospital

When the police station Shimlapuri checked the CCTV cameras and after that interrogation, Neelam told that she had directly reached Salem Tabri after taking the girl on a scooty, where she buried the girl alive in a field. On hearing this, the police team reached there immediately. The excavation was done with the help of PCR personnel and the girl was immediately taken out to DMC Hospital, where she died.

Police interrogation revealed that Neelam was divorced from her husband and had been living with her two sons in her mother’s house for many years. She often used to quarrel with the people living around her about one thing or the other.

Police said that if there was a fight between the children about something, then Neelam used to start a fight with everyone that only her children are targeted. A long time ago, there was a fight between the children of Harpreet and Neelam. After that, there was a lot of tussle between Harpreet’s family and Neelam, but due to the rescue between the people, the matter was settled. Neelam was keeping the enmity of the same thing in her mind. She was looking for an opportunity to see how Harpreet’s family could be harmed.
