England’s Webley & Scott launches ‘Made in India’ Revolvers

At present, the country-made revolver Webley & Scott is in the headlines among weapons enthusiasts. Now, the Indian version of Webley has started reaching the masses

At present, the country-made revolver Webley & Scott is in the headlines among weapons enthusiasts. Now, the Indian version of Webley has started reaching the masses. On Thursday, 10 revolvers were delivered from Hardoi's Sandila factory to the capital Lucknow. The company will deliver Webley revolvers to around 100 people from different districts during Navratri.

Features of pocket model revolvers

The revolver of the Webley company will be of the pocket model. However, its weight is only 670 grams. Also, this revolver is one of the lightest revolvers ever made. The pocket model revolver can also be operated in water.

Webley & Scott launches 'Made in India' Revolver MK-IV

The 0.32 bore revolver costs Rs 1.38 lakh. Also, 28% GST will have to be paid separately. Britain's Webley & Scott Company has launched the Mk IV, Make in India version of the revolver. However, the revolver is being made in Sandila in the Hardoi district of the state.

Hardoi will also be known as Webley Arms Factory

Now, Hardoi will also be known as Webley Arms Factory. The Indian Arms Plant of the British company has been set up in Sandila, Hardoi. The plant has been built in collaboration with England-based company Webley Scott Lucknow and Kanpur-based arms company Sial Group. According to businessmen Maninder Syal and Rikki Syal, Jogender Singh of Capital Gun House in Lucknow handed over the first delivery of the revolver to Sudhir Gupta.

The price of pocket revolver Webley is 1 lakh 38 thousand rupees. Also, customers will have to pay 28% GST separately. However, Webley Scott is supported by Syal Manufacturers, its partners, and arms entrepreneurs Rikki and Maninder Syal from Kanpur. In this business, 51% stake of Syal Group and 49% stake of Webley Scott has been reached. Webley Scott has launched a weapon in the Indian market after almost 35 years.
