New Delhi: Actress Pooja Hegde, who played the female lead in Housefull 4 alongside Akshay Kumar, has come forward to help children with cancer. Pooja has donated 2.5 lakh rupees for the treatment of children through an organization.
Pooja participated in an event organized by the Cure Foundation. The event was held to announce the sixth biennial 'Cancer Crusaders Invitation Cup', a world-class golf tournament. Funds are raised through this tournament to support children who are suffering from cancer. At the same time, awareness was also spread. Talking about it, Pooja says, "I don't think it's an act that only actors or celebrities should do. It should come from within you. The society has given you, to give back to the society, creating a habit and tradition is important".
Pooja further says, "You won't even know how many people you inspire by doing this." This was a small contribution from my side. Most children with cancer can be treated and should not be stopped just because of money. A small work done with love goes a long way. We should do as much as we can for others.
Meanwhile, Pooja is celebrating the success of her recent Telugu release Ala Vaikunthapuramralu. After which she has started working on his upcoming film with Prabhas. Pooja was seen in Housefull 4 alongside Akshay Kumar in 2019. The film was a success at the box office and did more than 200 crores of business.
In Hindi cinema, Pooja made her debut with Mohenjo-daro with Hrithik Roshan. However, at the box office, the film did not meet expectations. Subsequently, Pooja played lead roles in several successful South Indian films.
