Boney Kapoor, What could have been a better ode to pay Sridevi on her first death anniversary than to help the underprivileged and the elderly? Apparently, Boney Kapoor has decided to auction wife Sridevi's beloved saris and donate the amount generated from it to a charitable organization.

The Kapoor family have chosen the website Parisera which will auction one of Sridevi's Kota sari. As of now the starting bid for the sari is Rs 40,000. The earnings will be donated to Concern India Foundation, which extends financial and non-financial support to grassroots level NGOs working in the areas of education, health and community development.

The article on Parisera goes as "February 24th, 2019 will be the first death anniversary of Sridevi. As a token of their love, the Kapoor family has decided to donate the proceeds from auctioning one of Sridevi's beloved Kota saris to Concern India Foundation.  The Kota sari is light, bright and emanates the perfect essence of Sridevi. Being born in a South-Indian household, the actress has worn saris as a badge of her identity and has always infused a sense of unique charisma into its pleats."

While a Puja was already held for Sridevi's death anniversary which falls on February 24, by husband Boney Kapoor, it is stated that on the day of her death anniversary, Kapoor family will gather under one roof to pay respect to the late actress.
