Ayushmann Khurrana is back with another unusual part. The actor has released the trailer for Doctor G, in which he portrays a hesitant gynecology student. The film, directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Vineet Jain, will be released in theaters on October 14.
Ayushmann Khurrana shared the Doctor G trailer on his official Twitter account. "Padegi #DoctorG pe bhaari, gynaecology department ki har ek naari! Doctor G will appear in theaters on October 14, 2022. The #DoctorGTrailer is now available at https://bit.ly/DoctorGTrailer (sic)."
Doctor G is a comedy-drama set in a medical college about Dr. Uday Gupta, played by Ayushmann Khurrana. Uday aspires to specialize in orthopedics but is locked in an all-female gynecology class. He finds a mentor in Shefali Shah, who tells him to shed his manly touch to acquire the trust of his patients.
"Doctor G is a coming-of-age comedy drama set at a medical institution and is a riveting and humorous look at a male gynaecologist surviving an entirely female-dominated world," director Anubhuti Kashyap said in a statement. Ayushmann Khurrana has done an outstanding job as Doctor Uday Gupta. He, along with Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh, have contributed so much to their respective parts that it is possible to empathize to these people and situations. The film confronts gender stereotypes in his personal and professional life via humour and will appeal to young Indians."
