The film supposedly has got its way  from the CBFC with no cuts.

"There will be a mild, small change in the title of the film. Because they find it a bit too harsh. And we are more than happy to do that. Other than that there are absolutely no cuts. They were rather thrilled to see the film," Kangana told journalists Thursday night.

Individuals from the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) had composed a letter to the CBFC looking for an adjustment in the title of Mental Hai Kya expressing they think that it's belittling to the mentally sick individuals.

The creators denied that the film victimizes individuals doing combating emotional well-being issues and indeed urges the audience to embrace their uniqueness.
