Govinda Narrowly Escapes: 6 Bullets Were Loaded, 1 Misfires – How Did He Get Hit?

A piece of news about actor and politician Govinda, who is the heartbeat of Hindi film lovers, left people shocked on Tuesday morning. Govinda was involved in an accident where he was shot by his own revolver in his left leg. The incident stunned everyone.

Govinda was immediately taken to Criticare Hospital near his home following the incident. The bullet has been removed from his leg, and he has been placed in the ICU. Currently, Govinda's condition is reported to be stable.

Govinda's Life Saved

Govinda revealed that at the time of the incident, he had a bodyguard with him at home, provided by the Mumbai police protection branch. The police bodyguard rushed the injured Govinda to the hospital and informed the local police station about the incident.

According to police investigations, the revolver had 6 bullets loaded, and one bullet misfired. The police matched the revolver's serial number with the license, confirming that the license is valid.

The revolver was a .32 bore but quite old. Govinda had planned to purchase a new revolver, but the accident occurred before that.

Govinda Was Set to Leave for Kolkata

According to reports, Govinda was scheduled to leave for Kolkata on Tuesday morning. He was packing his belongings at home and preparing for the trip.

Govinda owns a licensed revolver, which he had placed in its case and was about to store in the wardrobe.

However, the revolver slipped from his hand before he could put it away and misfired. This incident occurred at around 4:45 AM.

Govinda Himself Shares Health Update

After receiving treatment at the hospital, Govinda personally shared an update with his fans. In an audio message from the hospital, he said, "I am now out of danger. The gun went off accidentally. I have the blessings of my deities. I thank my doctors."

Expressing gratitude to his fans, Govinda added, "With all your blessings, the blessings of my parents, and the grace of the deities, the bullet that hit me has been removed. I thank you all."

Govinda was one of the biggest stars in Bollywood during the '90s. He has appeared in several iconic comedy films, such as Dulhe Raja, Hero No. 1, and Coolie No. 1.
