Ashish Vidyarthi was born in Coonoor, Kerala. Her father Govind Vidyarthi is a Malayali artist and her mother Rabi was a famous Kathak dancer. Ashish Vidyarthi did his early studies from Coonoor, Kerala. But in 1969 he came to Delhi and from there this actor completed his further studies. Ashish Vidyarthi started his acting career in theatre. There was a time when he used to do theater in Delhi and there he earned a lot of names. Ashish Vidyarthi married Rajoshi Barua, daughter of popular Bengali cinema actress Shakuntala Barua. Rajoshi Vidyarthi is also a TV actress. She has worked in many serials like Suhani Si Ek Ladki.

Ashish Vidyarthi started his career with the Kannada film 'Anand'. But in 1991, he got a break in Bollywood with the film Kaal Sandhya. After this film, this actor never looked back. After that Ashish Vidyarthi worked in many films like 1942: A Love Story, Sardar, Bichhu, Sardar, Drokhal, Barfi, Baazi, Illegal. Apart from Hindi films, he worked in many Kannada films like AK-47, Vande Mataram, Sainik, Nandi. Apart from these films, he also did many shows on television.

Ashish Vidyarthi has featured in films like Bichhu, Haseena Maan Jayegi, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Jodi No 1, and Ziddi. This actor was well-liked by the audience in the negative role. 

Ashish Vidyarthi started drowning during the shooting of the film

Ashish Vidyarthi is a very good artist. But it is said that the death of the villain is certain to happen in the film. Something similar happened with Ashish Vidyarthi. Once in Chhattisgarh, he was shooting for his film 'Bollywood Diaries'. His shooting was going on near Mehmra Anicut where he was supposed to get into the water. During this, Ashish went into such deep water that he started drowning. The people present there saw him drowning, but they thought that it was a scene from the film. Thinking this, no one came forward to save them. Later the police came and saved the life of this actor. He has died in 185 films so far.
