Bollywood desk: Shooting of Abhishek Bachchan's upcoming film Bob Biswas is going on in Kolkata. Last month, on January 24, Abhishek told about it. In the shooting update, Abhishek shared a photo with Chashma and Motorola's mobile, which was used in the 2012 film Kahani. But now the film is surrounded by controversies over allegations of violating the order of the NGT.

Bob Biswas's makers continued shooting at Ravindra Sarobar in Kolkata without following the rules laid down by the National Green Tribunal. Manufacturers are also facing opposition to cooking and using plastic inside the lake, as the NGT has banned it. Ravindra Sarovar's Morning Walkers Association has also raised objection to the issue. When he raised the question, crew members said that producer Sujoy Ghosh would answer all his questions.

However, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority CEO Antara Acharya said that Bob Biswas has all the necessary permissions related to the shooting. He has not violated any rules laid down by the National Green Tribunal.

Bob Biswas is a spin-off of the role of the fictional contract killer in the 2012 Vidya Balan film Kahani. Abhishek Bachchan is doing a physical transformation for Bob Biswas' avatar in the film. The film is being produced by Shahrukh. The film is expected to be released in late 2020. Dia Annapurna Ghosh is directing debutant.
