Kumar got a job in the police department

Rajendra Kumar had come to India with his family. Here his father started a clothing business, which went well. After this, Rajendra's job also took place in the police department, that too in the post of sub-inspector. But fate probably had something else in mind. A friend of Rajendra showed him the dreams of the film world and asked him to come to Mumbai to act.

By the way, Rajendra Kumar's childhood dream was to become an actor and the words of a friend made his dreams come true. He fled to Mumbai two days before going to police training. When he reached Mumbai, the reality came to know. The friend was also struggling there. Rajendra Kumar was deeply hurt by the deception he had received from a friend and decided not to return home out of shame.

In the year 1957

After this, in the year 1957, Rajendra got a chance to work with Nargis in 'Mother India'. Rajendra Kumar's character in the film was very small but his work was highly praised. After this, the film 'Mehboob' became a super hit in the year 1963, after which Rajendra Kumar never looked back.

During the years 1963 to 1966, all the films became super hits. It is said that at that time only Rajendra Kumar's films were installed in every cinema hall. Rajendra Kumar's stardom grew such that his films continued to run in theaters for 25 weeks and made records. Just like that people started calling him 'Jubilee Kumar'.

Kumar had struggled for films

Then from here Rajendra Kumar's struggle to go to films started. Had Rajendra not appeared in films, he would have been a cop and running after criminals. After great difficulties, Rajendra Kumar got a job as an assistant to director HS Rawail at a salary of Rs 150 with the help of lyricist Rajendra Krishna. Rajendra Kumar was first seen on the big screen in the 1950 film Jogan. Dilip Kumar was in the lead role in this film. The work was found in the film but it took seven years for Rajendra Kumar to make a mark.

Rajendra Kumar's stardom started fading

It is said that Rajendra's stardom started fading as soon as Rajesh Khanna came to the movies. Although he also directed the film for his son Kumar Gaurav. The name of this film was 'Love Story'. He has contributed a lot to films, due to which he has also been honored with Padma Shri. He has worked in more than 85 films in his career. The names of these films are Dhool Ka Phool, Patang, Dharmaputra and Humrahi.
