Actress Rakul Preet Singh is helping 200 families living in slums near her home in Gurugram amid a 21-day lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh is helping 200 families living in slums near her home in Gurugram amid a 21-day lockdown to prevent the spread of corona virus. She says this is a small attempt to show her gratitude.

Rakul along with her parents Kulwinder Singh and Rajendra is providing homemade food to these people.

She said, "My father noticed that people in this entire slum do not yet have basic facilities. We are providing food to all these people for two times and we have thought that we will continue doing this till the lockdown is completed."

She adds, "If the lockdown goes ahead, I will continue to do it. Right now I am committed to keep doing this until April and will be look at later. The food is cooked in my society only and then transported to these people. "

Rakul says, "This is my way of expressing gratitude for what I have and it is a very small effort. If you can make a little change, then do it, because I can believe in returning what I get from the society."
