Mumbai's Worli Police have made a significant arrest in the case involving threats to superstar Salman Khan. A man had recently issued a threat to Salman using gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's name and demanded a ransom of five crore rupees. The suspect has now been detained in Jamshedpur.
According to information provided by the police, the individual who made the threat works as a vegetable seller. He recently saw news reports on TV about gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's threats to kill Salman Khan, which gave him the idea to extort money. The man sent a threatening message to Mumbai Traffic Police's WhatsApp number and then switched off his phone.
The detained individual, named Sheikh, is 24 years old. As per the information he gave to the police, he used to sell vegetables but is currently unemployed.
After sending the threat, Sheikh also sent an apology message. Following the threatening message received by Mumbai Traffic Police, a case was filed against the unknown person, and an investigation was launched.
The police tried to trace the accused’s phone number, but it was switched off. Mumbai Police sought to determine the origin of the message and discovered it was sent from Jamshedpur.
With the help of local police in Jamshedpur, they conducted an investigation, and the person responsible for sending the message was taken into custody.
In his threatening message, he demanded INR 5 crore from Salman Khan, stating, "Do not take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end his feud with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay INR 5 crore. If the money is not paid, Salman Khan's fate will be worse than Baba Siddiqui's."
Mumbai Police took the threat very seriously and immediately launched an investigation. After sending the threat, the man later apologized, claiming that the message was sent by mistake, and he expressed regret for his actions.
It is known that Salman Khan’s security has been tightened following threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and the death of NCP leader Baba Siddique. The actor has been provided with Y-plus security.
Despite the danger to his life, Salman is continuing to fulfill his work commitments. Recently, he shot for the "Weekend Ka Vaar" episode of Bigg Boss 18.
On set, Salman stated that work must be done, and commitments need to be honored. He is also busy shooting for his upcoming film Sikandar.
