Shah Rukh Khan Becomes Highest Tax-Paying Actor, Salman Khan Among Other Stars in the List

Highest Tax-Paying Actor: Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, always remains in the spotlight. Last year, the actor made waves at the box office with three back-to-back films: "Pathaan," "Jawan," and "Dunki." Out of these, two films were blockbusters.

Now, Shah Rukh Khan has become Bollywood's highest tax payer. In this regard, the Badshah of Bollywood has surpassed Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

SRK Pays ₹92 Crore in Taxes

According to a report by Fortune India, Shah Rukh Khan has paid a staggering ₹92 crore in taxes for the financial year 2024, making him the highest tax-paying celebrity in the film industry.

Tamil actor Vijay ranks second on the list, having paid ₹80 crore in taxes. Salman Khan, known as Bollywood's "Bhai," also made it to the top 5 Indian tax-paying celebrities, contributing ₹75 crore.

Meanwhile, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan paid ₹71 crore in taxes. With this, Shah Rukh Khan has become the highest tax-paying actor in the cinema industry.

Akshay Kumar Missing from the List

Bollywood's 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar

Interestingly, Bollywood's 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar, who used to be one of the highest tax-paying celebrities, is absent from the list this time. The actor's fortunes seem to have dwindled since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Apart from "Sooryavanshi" and "OMG 2," none of his films have performed well at the box office.

This year, his movies "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan," "Sarphira," and "Khel Khel Mein" also turned out to be box office disasters.
