Aamir Khan popularly known as Mr. Perfectionist, starrer's father Tahir Hussain, was a well-known filmmaker. There was a time in his life as a filmmaker when he went bankrupt and his family was almost on the road. Aamir himself had disclosed this some time back in an interview.

'My father didn't know how to do business'

Aamir had said in a media interaction, "I come from a film family. I have seen my uncle (Nasir Hussain) make a film. I have seen my father make a film. My father was very enthusiastic and a good producer. But he didn't get it. Didn't know how to do business. That's why he never made any money. And he had only one problem. Some films were made in 8 years and some in 3 years."

'I saw my father in dire financial straits

Describing his father's financial crisis, Aamir had said, "He was deeply in debt. I have seen my father struggling with a lot of financial trouble. I don't know if you know or not. But we were almost bankrupt." And was almost on the road at that time." Aamir recalled an incident during this time when his mother told him that his father felt the need for a job and started looking for his graduation degree. "Such a situation had come that a 40-year-old man was looking for his graduation certificate," he said.

These films were produced

He made a film with his son Aamir, whose name was Tum Mere Ho. This was his first and last film as a director. He had produced films like Caravan, Anamika, Madhosh, Zakhmi, Janam-Janam Ka Saath, Khoon Ki Pukar, Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke. Tahir Hussain passed away on 2 February 2010. Tahir Hussain was the relative of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of India.
