A special screening of director Sandeep Kumar Rana's bilingual film 'San 84 Justice' was held in Delhi, in which many eminent people participated. These included Minorities Commission Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura, former Army Chief General JJ Singh, Senior Advocate HS Phoolka, Jago Party President Manjit Singh, Romania's Ambassador Daniela Sejonov, Maninder Singh, Akali Dal's Banni Jolly Singh and Jaswinder Singh Jolly. People appreciated the film and after the film was over everyone was in tears, it got a tremendous response.
The film revolves around the lives of exploited Sikh families after the assassination of former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi in 1984.
The poster of this film was unveiled at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2019. The film was well received by the international audience and has now been released in cinemas across the country.
Producers Jitesh Kumar and Mujeeb Ul Han shared their excitement over the development of the film saying, "We are very excited that our film will finally be seen by Indian audiences in theatres. There are many important stories to be told in our country and some great talent. We are eagerly waiting for the reactions we get from the audience for 84 Justice".
'San 84 Justice' is a 78-minute long Hindi-Punjabi film that tells the story of a family that sells rice to earn a living. Hailing from a lower middle-class family, Gurfateh Singh lives with his three sons, brother and wife. Where everyone works and lives together.
Since Gurfateh Singh is not able to earn enough income from his business, his entire family does small jobs to earn extra income. One of his friends advises him to mix small pebbles with rice and wheat, but Gurfateh is an honest man who flatly refuses to do so.
Meanwhile, Indira Gandhi is assassinated by the Sikh Security Force. This news becomes a threat to the Sikh families as communal people take advantage of this incident to create chaos. Due to this violence increases in the city and many Sikh families even children and women are killed.
This incident turns into a war situation and in Golden Temple many Sikhs were injured, thousands lost their lives and many families were ruined.
The film starred Vipin Sharma as Gurfateh Singh, Suparna Marwah as Jeet Kaur, Ashish Sahdev as Ajit Singh, Jitendra Rai as Anjan Kumar and Manoj Bakshi as Janardan.
The film is produced by Jitesh Kumar Films and UFI Productions and presented by Abhishek Verma. 'San 84 Justice' has been released on the silver screen on November 2, 2021.
Interestingly, 'San 84 Justice', Rajinikanth's Annaatthe, Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi and Marvel's Eternals have released in the Diwali week. So, it is going to be a week full of entertainment for the Indian audience.
