Zaira Wasim may have opted out of the film industry but has not stopped making headlines. Once again Zaira Wasim is in discussion and this time she has given her opinion about the current situation in Kashmir. The actress, who debuted from Aamir Khan's movie, has written a post, sharing a picture of a white flower, after talking about repealing article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and now talking about the situation in Kashmir.

She wrote in her message, 'Kashmir continues to suffer and see-saw between hopes and frustation. A lie of peace is being spread in place of despair and sorrow. Kashmiris are still in agony where it is easy to ban our freedom. Why do we have to live in a situation where we are banned and we are being dictated? Why is it so easy to silence our voices? Why is it so easy to cover our freedom of expression?

Why we have never been allowed to give our opinion. Without listening to our thoughts, they are being rejected. How easy is it to curb our voices so seriously? Why can't we always live simple lives without wrestling and remind the world of our existence. Why any Kashmiri has to spend a lifetime in hardships, restrictions and troubles, it has taken away from the heart and mind the recognition of normalcy and harmony.

Further she wrote, 'Hundreds of such questions are unanticipated, shocking and disappointing us, but our frustrations have no whereabouts. The authority does not make the slightest attempt to put an end to our doubts and speculations but stubborn, conflicted and crippled go their way to restrict our existence in the world. But I ask the world, what has changed in the acceptance of the misery and oppression we are under you? Don't believe the media which has given a blurry picture of the situation here, ask questions, our voices have been silenced and for how long, none of us really knows.
