Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala has received a big relief. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has quashed the petition filed against making him deputy CM. A petition was filed in the High Court against Dushyant making it unconstitutional.

Jan Nayak Janata Party convenor Dushyant Chautala took the oath of office on October 27 along with Chief Minister Manohar Lal. After this, on 29 October, a challenge was challenged in the High Court against his appointment. This PIL was filed by High Court lawyer Jagmohan Bhatti.

The petition said that appointing Dushyant Chautala as Deputy Chief Minister in Haryana was against the Constitution and the law. The swearing in of Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala by Governor Satyadev Nararan is a violation of Article 164 of the Constitution. There is no provision for the post of Deputy Chief Minister anywhere in the Indian Constitution. In such a situation, swearing in the office of Deputy Chief Minister is wrong.

Along with this, the petition demanded a ban on all facilities provided to Dushyant Chautala as Deputy Chief Minister. In its reply to the petition, it was stated by the Haryana government that there is no provision to provide additional facilities to the Deputy Chief Minister in the state. There is no justification for challenging it.
